Elevating the brand of a custom home builder.

McDonald Construction Partners engaged our studio to revitalize and redefine their brand identity. Our audit of their existing assets, architectural designs, and core customer demographics revealed a clear path forward: an aesthetic rooted in the language of luxury. This strategic creative direction served as the cornerstone for their comprehensive brand transformation.

The inspiration became undeniable during our tours of their model homes, which emphasized expansive layouts, natural light, and an airy atmosphere. These qualities, paired with a Scandinavian modern design philosophy, became the driving forces behind the brand’s new visual signature.

We drew cues from the world of high-end automobiles and luxury timepieces to elevate the brand aesthetic. We selected Hoefler’s Decimal typeface for its Swiss-inspired, sleek, contemporary elegance and timeless precision. This refined approach stands in stark contrast to their legacy mark, which utilized heavy triangular forms, and a bold black-and-red palette. 

The new identity system projects a streamlined perspective and a meticulous focus on detail, mirroring the superior craftsmanship found in every home they build. In this new era for the brand, restraint and quality are the defining pillars.
