Wagging Tails Pet Resort (WTPR) was a quintessential example of our studio in action.  With a partnership spanning more than 14 years, we helped transform the resort from a standard service provider into a premium luxury destination for pet care. We gave the branding, customer experience, and communications strategy a total overhaul to better capture the deep joy and love for dogs shared by the Wagging Tails team and their clients. We even strategically realigned their core services—reimagining dog daycare as “Playdays,” boarding as “Overnights,” grooming as “The Canine Spa,” and training as an “Obedience Academy.” This upscale approach truly helped WTPR stand out in the crowded southern Twin Cities metro area market.

Web + Social (Branding & Identity, Web Design, Marketing Campaign)

We created the website as the primary hub of WTPR’s modern identity, ensuring it was a vital destination for customers to learn about services and connect with the brand. Built on a customized, responsive WordPress platform, we prioritized brand storytelling and engaging content creation.

As part of a comprehensive yearly marketing plan, we crafted high-value blog posts on topics ranging from canine health—such as Cushing’s Disease, cataracts, and the dangers of xylitol—to behavioral tips like helping dogs cope with scary noises. To keep engagement high, our Birthday Club photography featured furry guests wearing custom bandanas and party hats, providing a steady stream of bright, shareable content for social media feeds.

Customer Communications (Sales Materials)

To streamline the customer onboarding experience, we designed a collateral system using a custom half-sheet pocket folder. The self-contained system neatly organized an overview brochure, a series of service & pricing inserts, and client report cards, ensuring that every physical touchpoint reflected the resort’s premium standard. 

Environment (Environmental Design)

Our design work extended right into the physical resort locations in Eagan and Bloomington. We brought energy to the main lobbies and playspaces with bold color blocking, oversized patterns, and dynamic graphics. We even integrated subtle sensory details, like lavender oil diffusers in lobbies and grooming rooms, which further enhanced the upscale, calming atmosphere for both pets and owners.

Promotion

We encouraged customer engagement through seasonal promotions and community-focused initiatives several times a year. High-impact programs like “Cuts for the Cure” and the “Holiday Giving Tree” successfully generated thousands of dollars for local charities. This reinforced Wagging Tails Pet Resort’s commitment to the community and left a lasting legacy of care and “belly rubs” shared with thousands of families over the years.
