Our studio was tasked with extending RT Urban Homes’ digital and print development to a new retail storefront. We designed the Sales Center to serve as a reception and office space for the New Home Consultants. Its bright white, modern aesthetic and pink pineapple wall graphic welcomed guests and reinforced that this was not a typical home-building experience.
The Design Gallery next door was designed to be a three-dimensional, step-by-step representation of the sales process. It was divided into the first four stages of the sales and specification process: 01. Floorplans, 02. Interior Styles 03. Exteriors 04. Location. Museum-quality dimensional numbers and bulkhead typography directed customers to informative displays around the room.
Interior Styles alcoves were the highlights of the showroom, featuring full-height wall graphics of each of the four pre-designed styles. A wall-mounted interior style guide binder provided a comprehensive, room-by-room accounting of all available finishes and options. The adjacent walls housed material samples and lighting boards, allowing buyers to see and touch physical samples of the flooring, carpet, hardware, and more.
The showroom and adjacent model homes demystified the building process by moving clients through the decision-making process and allowing them to touch and feel physical samples in a stress-free, luxurious setting. Customer and New Home Consultant feedback indicated that the Design & Sales Centers, together with the streamlined buying process, were highly successful in converting prospects into sales. All 99 homes were sold during the first year.
